Lublin, Poland: Direct action in solidarity with political prisoners across the world

translation from the Polish original:

Solidarity attack on ATMs

In the last days of March 2012, we attacked three ATMs with paint, each belonging to another bank.
The growing climate of state repression must meet with our overwhelming response. An uncompromising attack of the Capital, taking away from us the remaining social gains, can no longer remain unanswered.
Violence is an integral part of our lives, concealed behind a mask of abstract social relations; pushed to the ghettos of poverty, filling the prison cells, living in the slums of the ‘third world’. We have no illusions about it. Therefore, we will emerge from the darkness of the night and attack the state and capitalist targets, each time more violently and with a stronger belief in the rightness of our actions.

We also address those who are staying on the moderate positions and try to influence and censor different concepts of activity. Our dreams are illegal, we remain illegal. We have no place within the capitalist machine. Therefore we can’t find ourselves attending the next miserable demonstration or picket. We will not write down long-term and ideological plans. We will not ask the bosses and rulers for small concessions. We want an immediate change. We will look for each other, creating cells capable to provide adequate answers to our daily humiliation. We will attack regaining control over our own lives, smashing the established role of victim. We will fight for our place. With fire and dynamite.

This symbolic action, in particular, is dedicated to:

Our brother Tortuga, held in the dungeons of the Chilean State.

Lambros Foundas, murdered by the state mercenaries. He gave his life for his ideals and he deserves a boundless respect.

Billy and Eat, held by the Indonesian State.

Prosecuted fighters of the Revolutionary Struggle and the Conspiracy of Cells of Fire.

Stella Antoniou, who deals with illness, and all other political prisoners around the world.

Stay strong!

‘The insurgents are right’

On Thursday, June 9th, 2011, the three anarchist fighters Sarantos Nikitopoulos, Vaggelis Stathopoulos, Christoforos Kortesis are confronted with a juridical paradox. After an appeal filed by the advocate of the Supreme Court [Areios Pagos], the Appellate Judges Council [Symvoulio Efeton] of Athens (following orders from above) is prepared to re-judge the fate of their physical liberty –although all three of them were recently released on bail after a decree issued by the same council.

The juridical barbarity reveals itself from this truth: the above mentioned were released from prison two months ago as they were not considered suspects of escaping from the country, therefore the annihilating measure of pre-trial detention was not extended beyond their 12-month incarceration (according to the law, such a prolongation would require extraordinary justification). Nevertheless, the question of an extension of their already expired pre-trial detention was introduced – unlawfully and afterwards – for discussion once more!
Despite the recovery of the physical liberty of the three, this liberty remains under question making them everyday hostages of the vindictive moods of the prosecution and judiciary authority!
It seems that the growing intensity of suppression, recorded also in ‘legislative’ terms during the recent years, is now served by a new type of judicial police that practically repeals even the very law which limits its scope. In hysteria to spread fear among people, the State itself is so dominated by phobia towards the social struggles and militant fighters…
We inmates of Greek prisons who conflict with judicial and punitive arbitrariness, will not allow any psychological rape to any of us. We demand the immediate halt of any juridical mockery against the three, and against anyone who experiences excruciatingly the ridicule by the alleged Justice.
Complete freedom for Sarantos Nikitopoulos, Vaggelis Stathopoulos, Christoforos Kortesis who are accused of participation in the Revolutionary Struggle and deny all accusations against them.
Discharge of any legal dispute and non indictment for Sarantos Nikitopoulos, Vaggelis Stathopoulos, Christoforos Kortesis, Marie Beracha, Nikos Malapanis –because completely ‘randomly and coincidentally’ on the same day the Appellate Judges Council shall examine which defendants to indict to the Revolutionary Struggle trial.
Freedom to the members of the Revolutionary Struggle, Pola Roupa, Nikos Maziotis, Kostas Gournas.
SOLIDARITY IS OUR WEAPON!

The three comrades Christoforos Kortesis, Sarantos Nikitopoulos and Vaggelis Stathopoulos who are accused for participation in the urban guerrilla group ‘Revolutionary Strugglebut have repeatedly denied all charges against them, have now received summons for Thursday, June 9th, at 10am ordering them to (re)present before the Appellate Judges Council that will (re)decide whether ‘to extend the pretrial detention or not.’
On the same day at 12.30, the defense lawyers of all persons involved in the same case have been called to present before the council which will issue the decree for the trial, judging who will be brought to trial and on what charges.
The juridical manipulative approach (or otherwise ‘orders from above’) for the re-imprisonment of the three anarchists, is now more than visible. What do the judges mean by the phrase ‘to extend the pretrial detention or not’ given the fact that the comrades are no longer in pretrial detention but were released on bail nearly two months ago, after an unanimous and (supposedly under the State laws) irrevocable decision issued by the Appellate Judges Council?
Does the Appellate Judges Council forget (?) to indicate that they will not decide but re-decide? It’ll be the second time (unprecedented in legal history records) that the same issue will be examined (it seems that the first judgment did not ‘fit’ in the imaginative scenarios which the anti-terrorist unit has set up regarding the three comrades). In fact, already their imprisonment has lasted twelve months, and the State laws stipulate that no council has jurisdiction to re-imprison them until they face trial.

Letter from Christoforos Kortesis About the unprecedented juridicial approach of my (re) imprisonment (greece)

About the unprecedented juridicial approach of my (re) imprisonment

Freedom the dignity as a field to hold games of power
or alternatively… juridicial coup d’etat in the modern democracy (junta?)

One year after my cinematographic arrest and my imprisonment with the charge of particiation in the organisation Revolutionary Struggle and of each separate action of it, without extravagances and drum sounds came my release with a unanimous decision of the Council of Judges of appeals of Athens (6-04-2011). A decision that to me tends to brings my case to its real dimensions (complete lack of evidence against me), besides the initial cinematographic police-juridicial production.

From the beginning I denied all charges against me, disputing a prosecution that has as a sole base my subversive action, my comrade and friendly relations, my refusal to enter the logic of condemning any revolutionary practice, and finally the intention of the authorities to create a “dead area” around the comrades that materialise their own choice to go against the regime with the practice of urban guerrilla.

Being “free” for just one month, I was informed accidentally that the public prosecutor of the Supreme Court asked, without even notifying me or my advocates, to reverse the decision with which I was released, beacuse it does not mention concrete evidence from my life, from which it results that… I am not dangerous or a suspect to carry out other (?) offences. The fact that they never did bother to justify the precise opposite, because, that is to say, I was imprisoned from the start, i guess thats normal… In the best way, Mr Ioannis Tendes, public prosecutor of the Supreme Court comes to confirm my perception that my invovement in  the case exceeds its penal character and comes to give it its real characteristics: the by all means (“formaly” or “irregularly”) political prosecution of an opponent of their regime.

The Supreme Court, willingly, and after it rejected my demand to be present at the discussion, with an unprecedented in the legal chronicles move, cancelled with its decision (19-05-2011) the decision of release and asks the council to re-decide my luck. In other words, when the decisions of their own councils are not good enough for them, so much worse for the… decisions.

In their hurry to lock me up in prison again, “they forgot” what their own laws clearly say: that the decision is irrevocable, since 12months have passed from the beginning of my temporary detainment, no council has any juristiction on the matter anymore. Simply they ask to find any “legal solution” that will send me back to prison. It is obvious that the decision of the council that released me was for them unexpected as well as annoying, threatening at the same time the structure that was set up for the prosecutions concerning the organization Revolutionary Struggle.

And as we said… justice allowes them to be “independent” when the decisions are liked by the “superiors” (inside and ouside the borders) or atleast when they do not cause problems and shake the police plannings. And this time the message is attempted to be given on the backs of people, of which their freedom becomes a field to hold “games of power”. Let me not guess how an “above” order to re-imprison me will influence, the “unbiased” judges that will judge me soon.

Not expecting anything better from people that as an anarchist I consider my political opponents, I remain in the battle osition that always defined my life…

Briefing from the solidarity and counter-information gathering that took place today (24th) on the pavement outside the Athens law School building for the methodical attempt of re-imprisoning the 3 anarchist comrades -athens -greece

A crowd of comrades with solidarity assembled this morning a little after 12.00noon, where a sound system was set up and thousands of keafkets we siven out. A mass fly-posting followed in the central streets of Athens.
On Monday (23rd ) dozens of comrades carried out an intervention of counter-information at Evelpidon courts, where a relative text was given out.
The 3 anarchist comrades Vaggelis Stathopoulos, Sarandos Nikitopoulos and Christoforos Kortesis, who are accused in the Revolutionary Struggle case and who from the first moment denied the charges, remained in prison for one year (from 10/04/2010). On the 5th April 2011 in the frame of the forecasted juridical procedure (the 12month detention period had passed), the council of judges of appeals decided unanimously and irrevocably on their release.
On the 12th of May the Supreme Court, with unprecedented in the legal chronicles and in secret move, cancels the decision of the council, methodisizing their re-imprisonment. The Supreme Court, judging that the thought of release wasn’t “justified” (!) sends the matter back to the council of judge of appeal.

With yesterday’s decision the Supreme Court cancelled the decision of release of the 3 anarchist comrades that are accused for participation in the R.S. Sarantos Nikitopoulos, Christoforos Kortesis and Vaggelis Stathopoulos, who deny from the first moment any charges, were released one and a half month ago with the order of council of appeals. With a unprecedented and hidden movement, the Supreme Court methodizes the re-imprisonment of the comrades, proving one more time the close collaboration of the police and the juridical authorities and the vengeful fury of the regime towards the comrades. From the first moment of their arrest, they have declared their belief that their prosecution is based on their subversive action, their reliable presence for years now in the anarchist movement and on the penalization of fellow relations.

Two anarchists charged with participation in Revolutionary Struggle are released on bail

M. Mperaha and N. Malapanis are two latest people who were charged with participation to the group Revolutionary Struggle. After appearing before the prosecutor general, the two were not ordered in pre-trial detention; instead, they have been given bail conditions (ban from exiting the country, sign-off at the police station monthly). In a justice system where even blatantly innocent people are ordered in pre-trial detention regularly, ordering bail conditions instead is a clear, if indirect, admission of lack of evidence on the side of the public prosecutor.

On monday 25th of October the special interrogator D.Mokkas sent me “CALL OF ACCUSED” to testify on monday 1st of November “for the punishable act of entering as a member in the terrorist organization named “REVOLUTIONARY STRUGGLE” the same call was also received by Nikos Malapanis, who happens to be our best man…
Kostas Gournas, who together with Pola Roupa and Nikos Maziotis has taken the political responsibility for participating in the Revolutionary Organization “Revolutionary Struggle” (while their co-accused V.Stathopoulos, S.Nikitopoulos, Ch.Kortesis deny participation), is my partner and father of our two 22month old children.
My partner, after being tortured in gada (greek police h/q), following his arrest, was imprisoned in Trikala prisons. Since october 9th he is on hunger strike in koridallos prisons, together with N.Maziotis (while other prisoners in solidarity deny prison food) demanding the self evident: to remain in athens where his family lives.
Today (28/10/10) he is on the 20th day on hunger strike in critical condition in the hospital with Nikos Maziotis.
A war is going on inside the “walls”, in the attempt of the state to put the imprisoned fighters in a hostage regime with all means. The attempt of extermination of my partner “roams” around the outside of the “walls” as well by trying to put the family in a suffocating psychological shackle.
The pressure that Kostas receives towards the attitude he has kept is clearly vengeful.
The terrorism applied to comrades and relatives is also vengeful.
I will not apologize to anyone for my life and why I chose Kostas as my partner and father of our children.
I will not apologize for scenarios that have been made up about me.
For the authorities, possibly and based on, solely, our political family relations we could all be “members” of “R.S.”
let there be a full stop to the persecutions that come out of these relations.

Kostas Gournas (and with him Nikos Maziotis) is forced to go on a long hunger strike, in order to be moved to koridallos prisons, where is co-accused are imprisoned, so he can see his baby children.
And the amazing: Instead of the authorities satisfying this, as they should, the vital demand, they charge his wife Maria Beraha and his best man Nikos Malapanis without any evidence at all -with the full meaning of that phrase. If this is not blackmail vengeance and pitiness, than words have lost all meaning.
Maybe though the most worrying of all the first seen are the dozens of calls the last few days for questioning to anarchists and family friends of the accused is literally a factory of calls, which has nothing to do with the interrogative job of evidence collection for the case but is exclusively a show of power of of the repressive mechanisms, operation to scare the anarchist movement and mainly, applying the fascist authority of “collective responsibility”,for the time in the public sphere against a legal political movement as we (consider) the anarchist is.

30/10/10

And now solidarity is being persecuted…

On Monday 1st of November I am called to present myself before the special appeals interrogator K.Baltas, as one accused for “the punishable action of integration in a terrorist organisation called Revolutionary Struggle”. Lately many individuals of the anarchist/antiauthoritarian movement from the wider friendship and comrade circle of those arrested, have been called as witnesses for the same case.
Since six fighters were arrested on the 10th of April, three of whom deny participation in Revolutionary Struggle, a repressive attack has begun that, based on silence, is unfolding more and more. The fact that at this moment I’m in the forefront shows, once again and more indirectly, how arbitrarily and in no way accidentally the repressive mechanisms move. In the forefront is an entire movement including those who fight or express their solidarity.
For 15 years I have belonged to the part of those that fight against the intensifying oppression and terrorizing of society. What we named the “coming treaty of totalitarianism” is seediness as a form of everyday routine and fear as a form of existence. It is what in the middle of a crisis (I.M.F., austerity measures, new antiterrorist law) they are now trying to apply to me and my comrades.
I am known to the persecutory authorities, having been arrested for my political action in the past. Part of this action was always solidarity to imprisoned fighters, because of which I have also been portrayed and targeted in the case of those arrested for Revolutionary Struggle. The message is clear. The comrades that deny the charges are in underground cells with the only evidence their political action and comradely relations, which they have never denied, with Pola Roupa, Nikos Maziotis and Kostas Gournas as well as with Lambros Foundas. The experiment is considered successful so is now being applied to more people. My prosecution, therefore, is clearly political and vengeful. It is for the awareness and conformity of those who still choose to fight, those who are ready to take the decision to fight.
Today they are clearly persecuting solidarity, comradeship, dignity. And the mechanisms smile at us ironically. With as my only weapon dignity, resistance and solidarity I walk and I will walk.
Finally, I express my solidarity to my bridesmaid and friend, mother of two children Maria Beracha, who is persecuted along with me. Also, my friendship and solidarity to Kostas Gournas and Nikos Maziotis, on hunger strike from the 9th of October in order to break the regime of isolation so that Kostas Gournas can be near his family.

In the face of these prosecutions we will come out stronger.

Announcement of the three members of Revolutionary Struggle

In the modern junta of the I.M.F., the E.C.B., the E.U. and the Greek government, methods from the Nazi occupation in Greece are being mobilized. Just like when the Nazis attacked the families and the social environment of the guerrillas in order to isolate them and exterminate them easier, today the modern fascists that govern us target families, friends and comrades of ours and of the three comrades that are in prison accused of participating in “Revolutionary Struggle”, in an operation to terrorize a whole political movement, through new persecutions and mass interrogations.
The aim of our pursuers is revenge for the actions of “Revolutionary Struggle” and our political attitude from inside the prisons, our political isolation and that of our other three imprisoned comrades and the inactivity of the whole subversive movement through the imposition of a special hostage regime on a number of comrades.
Its of decisive importance the need to not let them terrorize fighters, do not allow the re-folding of the struggle for liberation. We should immediately go on the counter-attack. Anyway, the dominators are those who have been discredited politically and socially by the vast majority of the Greek society, while the fighters that fight for freedom, is the hope for the oppressed of this land, that are slowly dying under the yoke of modern totalitarianism of capitalism, market economy and representative democracy.

The same moment that Kostas Gournas, is in an advanced phase of hunger strike, since the 13th of October (with the support of prisoners, with hunger strikes and prison food denial), while the juridical mechanism denies his transfer from Trikala prisons to koridalos prisons, keeping him far from his family,

The same moment that the imprisonment of anarchist Aris Seirinidis is extended, with an official charge unheard of and supported by the scientifically unfounded and juggling method of DNA analysis,

The same moment that the state and bosses start the most barbaric postwar economic and ideological attack against society, having equiped and educated an enormous police-antisocial army,

The judges call in the masses for interrogation, people from the social environment of the imprisoned, their relatives and politically active anarchists, without a specified subject of investigation, other than a general mention of the “anti”- terrorist law , (“we call you to be questioned as a witness for the Par.b 187 A P.K [greek antiterrorist laws official name]), without naming in the calls and during the interrogations the invoking clues of personal relations with the defendants or relations with Revolutionary Struggle. Precisely as they called the fighters to police stations after the civil war and in the dictatorship “they guessed”.
The interrogations had been announced in advance in an article of newspaper “to Vima” (the stand), which fulfils at influx the propaganda of the provocative scenarios of the cops, spearing the big part of the journalistic world that serves the organisms of government owned terrorism.
The interrogative operation seeks the intimidation of a political movement and a social space and the beam measuring of its relations, its reflexes and the attitude of those who fight, in the direction of generalised penalization based on the special laws and in the direction of the diffusion of suspiciousness and of destruction.
Indicative it is that the questions concerned the social relations, elements of the personal life and the political opinions of those called.
With this frame it invests in the stigmatization of those called for interrogation,
The same moment that the indirect tortures of anarchist Simos Seisidis is continued, who is kept, being amputated in one leg, after he was shot in the back by a cop, from a distance of smaller than one metre and moreover being accused of a case of the “anti” – terrorist law also supported by the method of DNA analysis.
The same moment that the murderers of immigrant Mochamed Kamran Atiff, which were tortured to death in the police station of Nikea in October 2009, continue to “work” the same posts.
The same moment that the executioners of working immigrant N.Tonti, who was murdered by the police with fifteen bullets in February 2010 in Byronas area (athens), are around still armed.
Terrorism will not pass.

LETTER FROM KOSTAS GOURNAS 9/10/10

I begin a HUNGER STRIKE from Saturday 9th October and until a written approval of my demand for transfer to the prisons of koridalos is given to me.

Six months after my arrest, the torturing in g.a.d.a. (police headquarters of athens) and my very obvious vengeful detention in Trikala prison, while I am a father of twin children 22 months old, I find myself in the 6th wing of koridallos prisons temporarily transferred here for the attribution of additional charges for the case of the revolutionary organization Revolutionary struggle. For 5 months now I wait for the answer of the Ministry of Justice to the application that I have put in, to be transferred to koridallos prisons near where my family lives. The intentional delay in answering my application is included in the frames of tactics of psychological war that the ministry conducts against me and my comrades Roupa and Maziotis, since we have claimed the political responsibility for our participation in the R.O. Revolutionary Struggle and we have been defended its actions. Moreover, we have fought and we have achieved the two comrades to have a visit a week with their newborn son and this is a regular defeat for the ministry. This development, as well as the fact that I did not collaborate with the authorities despite my torturing (a thing that would be considered an enormous success by the regime) are the only reasons that they extend my detention in Trikala, since, in reality they avenge my own children.

Because however war needs always two, to my politicians opponents I notify the following:

I begin a HUNGER STRIKE from Saturday 9th October and until a written approval of my demand for transfer to the prisons of koridalos is given to me. As a revolutionary, reliable fighter and a father I will not allow anyone to revenge my children and put them at risk, forcing them to drive 12 hours in one day, once a month in order to achieve their elementary need, even for only 30 minutes, the presence of both of their parents in their life. And because winter is coming…
my patience ends here.

In the meeting that happened for this reason, it was decided to do a demo at Koridallos prisons on the 19th of october, a day when our 6 comrades will be held there.

Info from demo to koridallos prisons

19th October 2010

The demo began at 19.30 roughly with about 800 people. Many undercovers in and around the surrounding small streets and two riot cop units outside of the passamondana steki.
Were gave out a lot of pamphlets of information and threw a lot of flyers in the surrounding streets.
The residents were very positive to the comrades.
The demo was very intense even if it began a little numb.
The cops followed along in the nearby small streets.
As the crowd approached the little park opposite the male prisons the pulse became more intense.
In the park slogans for the comrades in prison were shouted while fireworks were lit which
was the impressive part of the action (many fireworks!) After roughly 40 minutes the
crowd left from the park and on the way
back stood for 40 minutes in solidarity to
the prisoners in the female prisons, which
was answered with chants towards the crowd. On the way back chants
were heard about the salary slavery, solidarity and against the syndicalist leaders. Pre-election posters of the communist party were ripped and a camera was broken at a “wind” shop. In the
end there was some intensity at the pre-election kiosk of the communist party but it did not become something more.
The number of comrades that were demo today was very encouraging as well as that there were residents that joined
the demo on the way back saying they wanted participate in
actions more general (fed up generally from the situation
that
exists with unemployment, crisis and frauds e.t.c. as they said).

“If we don’t rebel now against the modern dictatorship of market,
capital and State, if we don’t throw off the yoke of slavery now, if we
do not today raise our head high, there will be no future for us and
we will have condemned future generations to live in the darkest
social and economic conditions of human history.
The only solution at hand to get out of this dead end is social
revolution.” E.A.
The organization E.A. (Revolutionary Struggle) has been active in
Greece since 2003 with attacks against the State and capital such as
against the stock exchange, the American embassy and on the forces
of oppression.
On March 10, 2010, the social fighter Lambros Fountas falls
dead, shot in the back by police. A month later there are six arrests.
Six anarchist anti-authoritarian comrades are led to police
headquarters under charges of participation in the organization E.A.
The State and media’s game begins, staging a whole spectacle of
eradicating a terrorist organization; and the festivities have no end,
since a garden reed fence is capable of turning a house into a “safehouse,”
a newspaper can be considered “evidence” and a morning
rendezvous in a peopled place is suspect and conspiratorial.
In the meantime the bankrupt Greek State imposes anti-social
measures and a large part of society reacts and takes to the streets
again in outrage, two years after the uprising of December 2008
caused by the murder of 15 year old Alexis Grigoropoulos by the
bullets of the officer Korkonea.
On April 29 three of the arrested fighters, N. Maziotis, P.
Roupa and K. Gournas take political responsibility for the
revolutionary organization E.A., at the same time stating that the

may never again be social and class divisions, or rich and poor, or
the exploitation of people by people. That there may not be
organized authority, the State, lack and suppression of freedom. Our
struggle is a struggle for economic equality and political freedom for
all. May it be nothing less than radical subversion, social
revolution…”
The other three arrested, S. Nikitopoulos., B. Stathopoulos and
X. Kortesis, remain detained solely on the grounds of their social
relationships and years of upsetting the authorities with their social
struggles. They are imprisoned and refuse the false charges.
“After the arrest of the ‘bloodthirsty terrorists’ the Greek people will
of course realize that nothing has changed in their living conditions.
If before the people fed from the crumbs left over from the lavish
meals of the likes of the capitalists, they will understand very
quickly that now they are not even given those crumbs… I won’t refer
to the charges at all because innocence and guilt are interchanged in
accordance with which side you have chosen to be on.” X. Kortesis,
Korinthos prisons.
“It is the settled policy of authority, with it’s ally the mass media, to
slander and criminalize social struggles and the personal
relationships of fighters… In any case, my statement to the inquisitor
that I do not renounce any form of struggle against authority and the
State is the only reason that I am detained.” V. Stathopoulos, Trikala

LETTER FROM CHRISTOFOROS KORTESIS FOR THE CREATION OF A SOLIDARITY ECONOMIC FUND FOR FIGHTING PRISONERS

Monday, October 4, 2010

Let me begin saying the almost self-evident, that the formation of a solidarity fund for the economic support of comrades but also fighting people that are hostages of the state is very important. First of all because it aims to cover a granted need, that of everyday survival within the walls with dignified conditions.

At the same time though, because the creation of such an attempt declares, in my opinion, that we realize the imprisoned comrades as fighters that are in the hands of the state because of their subversive actions and ideals, as an inseparable piece of the political movement which they belong to, which takes the political initiative to support them and does not consider it a specific matter between friends and family, strengthening this way, in practice, the meaning of comradeship and solidarity. Obviously at this point I am not referring to an ethical obligation or a sentimental “blackmail”, but a move of political consistency and consciousness.
In a period that the attack from the side of the dominance against the anarchist-anti-authoritarian movement but also against every fighting part intensifies for obvious reasons, the creation of a fund of economic support is another mean of defence but at the same time of counter-attack, it is another answer with collective conditions and conditions of self-organization in the circumstances of isolation and individualism that the governing say is trying to order and impose on every aspect of our life.

Although the procedure concerns the creation of an account and does not claim an exclusivity for itself as for the expression of solidarity, as I was informed through the written information that all the imprisoned comrades received, I hope this move contributes to the coil of the a/a movement, which is showing some obvious cracks lately. Excepting the diversity of political references and positions within the a/a movement, I continue to believe that the elements that connect us are much more than the ones that divide us (without of course disdaining the intense reflections that from time to time are expressed by comrades about a variety of issues). Besides, I consider it completely welcomed, the long term target is not the inclusion of every group, every collective, every person in this procedure, on the contrary more attempts can be made at the same time for economic support (maybe with different characteristics, that will cover those involved), which will be coordinated amongst them for the best possible result.

In my opinion, in any case, when a political space with subversive and radical arguments doesn’t attempt to process in its interior matters that come up, base on the values of solidarity, co formation and selforganization, accepting and promoting the polymorphy of choices as for the means of the struggle, then how can it can seek and affix such a thing to the outside?
Because of my own participation in the past in similar attempts, I know the difficulties faced in such undertakings to survive in time, however in the end this is the issue, which I will also fight for with all my strength from here where I am, as I would do if I were there amongst the comrades. At this point I would like to make a proposal, which I also in the past had discussed with comrades usually facing reflections and disagreements. I believe, however, that even only the creation of a field of discussions on such questions is positive. I appreciate, therefore, that in events of economic support such as concerts and parties, that maybe could result also through the operation of a fund, could exist a symbolic entry of e.g. 2 or 3 Euros, a sum that corresponds to 1 or 2 beers. And this because each such event has a clear political frame and aim, that is to say the economic support of fighting people. And because the most important component of the struggle is the conscience of each one that participates in it, for one to go to such an event only for amusement independently from the reasons of it happening, constitutes lack of political conscience. Maybe Im saying it a bit bluntly, but I have lived closely to the mentality that prevails in such events. It is an opinion that I’ve expressed for years and of course not only now that I am imprisoned.
As for the economic support of other detainees that adopt a decent and fighting attitude inside the prisons I believe they should be included in the fund, provided that it accomplishes to achieve its initial economic targets. Concerning this but also in order for me to share with my comrades outside of prison the “inside” everyday routine of survival, for six months “I live” with another three people in the same cell, that our until now living together has shown me that they move and face with dignity the difficult conditions of prison. The money that each one us receives weekly is useful in order to cover our needs collectively (groceries, phonecards, etc.) And this because I consider that even in these conditions, even in the minuscule level of living together in a cell, the values of solidarity, refusal of segregation and dominating relations that this produces based on the possession of material goods (and not only) [even the minimal, such as a phonecard that in specific conditions is turned into an object with enormous power and of course with trading value] and the objective of equality, should be and kept alive and be the objective. As for the unrepentant fighters of the 17th November revolutionary group, for me supporting them is obvious, this is why I do not make a special reference.

Finishing and concerning the need of comrades, as this was expressed in the assembly of July, for all of us “inside the walls” to take a position on the undertaking, I want to say that this is also a way for us to continue participating in processes of the movement exceeding the obstacle of natural absence and creating one more channel of communication, that I hope is continued through time.
Until the absolute demolition of prisons, a big thank you and comradely greetings to all the comrades that from the little they have make sure we have decent living in the greek hell holes.

Revolutionaries do not apologise to the criminals of the State.”

Wednesday, October 6, 2010

”I refuse to accept the invitation of the Appeals prosecutors

who called me to give an additional testimony concerning

the case of the revolutionary organisation that I belong to

with the name ”REVOLUTIONARY STRUGGLE”. I do not

accept the call because there is nothing for me to apologise

for. Revolutionaries do not apologise to the criminals of the

State.” NIKOS MAZIOTIS

Today 6 octomber outside the Appeal Court building the tension and

passion of many comrades screaming and shouting strong

slogans when the comrades of Revolutionary Struggle case” were

taken away was a very emotional moment. Fighting started

with the riot cops who were attacking comrades.
Anyway, the next Appeal court case is fixed for 14 and 20

October. Tomorrow’s court has been cancelled because our

comrades have refused to be there.
