Anarchists attack RBS in Bristol (UK)

Monday, March 28th, 2011
24 March 2011
“In the framework of acting around the mass anti-cuts demo of 26th March 2011, we attacked RBS in Bristol during the night of 24th March 2011.
The main RBS building by Bristol Temple Meads was attacked by an anarchist affinity group armed with stones and glass bottles filled with paint, breaking windows and damaging staff vehicles. RBS, which was bailed out by the government, recently paid 780 million pounds in staff bonuses for the last year, plus 7.7million pounds bonus to RBS boss Stephen Hester. The government makes its money back by clawing it from the people at the base through the implementation of austerity measures and increased living costs, people who are already pushed to their limit.
We have acted outside the dimension of the mass demo on 26th March to make the point that, although some of us also attended there with the mass of the people on the streets of London, it is certain that our attack, solidarity and struggle demand of us that we act as well in our everyday lives and not just in the moment of spectacle. If the struggle stays at a certain level (essentially lobbying for the abolition of this or that law, the granting of certain rights, the manipulation of state finance, attending an ‘event’ etc), then the struggle will remain at a grotesque and unsatisfactory citizenism, perfectly in step with capital.
This action is dedicated to all those trapped in debt and struggling against the capitalist system on these islands, and it is also for those resisting corporate onslaughts abroad. We especially refer to those fighting against the Canadian Tar Sands mining project that RBS is funding, and to the peasants and allies fighting in Kulon Progo, Indonesia, against a similar project to extract iron from their coastline sands. The peasants in Kulon Progo specifically requested and appreciate attacks such as the one made against RBS on 24th March. The Indonesian state is not known for its record in human, animal and ecological welfare. Indonesia likes to hide behind the image of pleasurable modern tourism for rich Europeans and their university back-packer sons and daughters armed with gap-year money, mobile phones and laptops, whilst the reality on the ground is very different. British arms companies and banks have helped and continue to facilitate murderous deeds and carnage there.
Finally, we will never forget about the prisoners of the social war in Greece, where a sporadically strong anti-capitalist/anti-authoritarian/anarchist struggle has been happening now for years; this is for Simos Seisidis, who has a trial on 30th March 2011. We keep him in our hearts as an unknown friend and to him we extend our hugs; this is also for those prisoners of the Revolutionary Struggle – Nikos, Pola, and Kostas; for all the prisoners of the Conspiracy of Cells of Fire, those who take responsibility and those who are accused; this is for ALL of the comrades there, and also ALL the dignified prisoners here in the UK who do not bow their heads, outside or inside the walls… In these times if you don’t begin fighting, you are truly lost and deserve the contempt our enemies receive.”

ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE THREE IMPRISONED MEMBERS OF THE REVOLUTIONARY STRUGGLE CONCERNING THE USE OF LAMBROS FOUNDAS IN THE ARSON OF THE LAW SCHOOL IN ATHENS. (greece)

march 2011
Lambros Foundas gave his life fighting on the lines of the Revolutionary Struggle, an urban guerilla organization that operated alongside the exploited and oppressed.
He gave his life promoting a political project that aimed at the popular and proletarian counterattack on the conditions of modern totalitarianism, in which we live.
Our opinion as well as Lambros Foundas as members of the Revolutionary Struggle is that armed struggle is an essential tool of social-class struggle to overthrow capitalism and social revolution rather than a means to an existential affirmation of the individualistic insurrectionary experience of some.
This should be understood by all those who misuse the name of the our dead comrade in supposedly 1.“revolutionary” actions such as the arson of the Law School in athens. The actions of the Revolutionary Struggle has nothing in common with such actions and the antisocial individualistic reasoning that is behind them.
2.and 3.  Unfortunately some did not understand our warning last December when parcel bombs were sent to embassies in Rome where a low ranked embassy employee was injured, and where we stressed not to carry out such so-called “politically targeted” actions using the name of our dead comrade.
Unfortunately some people forced us to revert to preserve the political memory and honour of our dead comrade. We hope this is the last time some people use in such an abusive manner the name Lambros Foundas in unworthy actions and non related to the actions of our comrade which do not honour him.
Also we should note that when actions are taken as “Commando Lambros Fountas” – a name which has been used repeatedly after the death of the comrade – because it gives the comrade the role of who acts, since his name is the name of that group which acts, it is required to have a link concerning the choices of action and the political word surrounding them and a match of the resources used.
It is of course the same when an action in honor of the comrade accompanied by the slogan “honour to Lambros Foundas.
Obviously every comrade can honour him while respecting the choices of struggle he made and the political characteristics that we believe in are well known.

1.excerpt from communique claiming responsibility for the arson attack on the athens law school:
“We watched with interest the hunger striker immigrants developing political characteristics in their action. But with even greater interest we watched the Greek state trample vested democratically rights with a relatively great ease. At least now there will be no arguments for the defense of the non-existent asylum. Thus in the more general dissatisfaction we selected to strike the building of the Law School of Athens. We into the door of the central amphitheatre that is on the first floor and placed in the interior many incendiary devices amining at the biggest possible destruction. We manufactured the mechanisms in such a way that the critical hour there are no students in the building and find themselves in a direct danger. We address a clear blackmail to democracy, that if something happens to a hunger striker we will not hesitate to strike also other buildings or even people-symbols of it.

2.  (Greece) Statement of three jailed members of the organisation Revolutionary Struggle in relation to the attacks on the embassies in Rome)

“With regard to the parcel-bombs that were sent to the embassies of Chile and Switzerland in Rome on the 23/12/2010, that had as a result the injury of two employees, that was undertaken by the organisation “Informal Anarchist Federation – FAI – Revolutionary Cell Lambros Foundas”, we have to declare the following: As Revolutionary Struggle we selected always the realisation of actions that were politically aimed. They were aimed at the arrangement of the institutions and those that represented and protected them. We organised in such a way, so that injuries of persons that are not included in our political objectives is avoided and we would not allow such actions that would have that as a result. e.g the accidental wounding of an employee of an embassy, as it became in the previously mentioned attacks with the parcel-bombs. This perspective was always the basic beginning for the action of all of us, and naturally, our dead companion and member of our organisation, Lambros Foundas. For this reason, we ask do not make actions of such type in the name of our comrade.”

Rome, Italy – The boy wounded at the Chilean embassy is Cesar
from Informa-Azione
We have received and are forwarding a few lines of an e-mail received in recent days:
“The Chilean boy wounded by the letter bomb is Cesar. A comrade and a friend involved with the experience of Ciclofficina Popolare (people’s bike workshop) of the Ex Lavanderia (the former laundry).
We found out today.
Suddenly, for us, the natural compassion for an injured person is no longer tempered by anonymity.
Behind this story of national importance there is a person whose name, face and voice we know.
Now Cesar is in hospital, with two fingers less and we are angry. […]”

27 December 2010
Parcel bomb sent to the Greek Embassy in Rome. It is intercepted and defused.

“We’re striking again, and we do so in response to the appeal launched by our Greek comrades the Conspiracy of Cells of Fire.”

“For this reason we’re sending this new attack to a structure that represents the Greek state and its servants, in solidarity with our comrades arrested in Athens and the Conspiracy’s project which, like ours, is based on the action and method of revolutionary violence.”

SOLIDARITY ACTIONS FOR REVOLUTIONARY STRUGGLE
19/3/11
We visited simultaneously, the buildings of Evelpidon courts and the surrounding areas, throwing hundreds of flyers demanding the immediate release of the members of REVOLUTIONARY STRUGGLE, then we visited GSEE (syndicalist workers union offices), and then we went to Pireas area to Eurobank and Citibank, and the IKA (welfare offices) of Pireas.
ESPECIALLY DEDICATED TO THE SOCIAL COMRADES MEMBERS OF REVOLUTIONARY STRUGGLE, -L.FOUNDAS, P.ROUPA, N.MAZIOTIS, K.GOURNAS.
Come on, get up, lets go to the streets women and men with weapons on our shoulders. Driven from a feeling responsibility and political dignity and wanting to send a message of civilization with multiple receivers we chose to go inside the courts and the surroundings, where judges and prosecutors mercilessly imprison every social fighter as the members of REVOLUTIONARY STRUGGLE.
The civilization we represent and visualize demands that we promote with all our powers our opposition to the imprisonment that is imposed for a long period of time on the members of R.S. and simultaneously to promote our immediate and unconditional support to their struggle even from inside prison, a fact also being the initiative for awakening and support by the gathering of 1326 signatures from prisoners in prisons, and to state that we demand their immediate release. Historical examples of liberation of political prisoners exist, let us be inspired by history and strapped with conscience and passion for freedom we can create more….

Claim of responsibility for the arson at A. Loverdo’s office Revolutionary Liberation Action (greece)

We claim responsibility for the arson attack at the political
office of Health Minister Andreas Loverdos.
This politician is one of the most prominent advocates
of the attack that the ruling class haw launched against
all proletarians. In the past, when serving as Minister
of Labour, he was responsible for imposing unbearable terms
of exploitation on worker, by implementing
the policies of the Memorandum and the greek
government.
Today, as Health Minister, he is promoting the
complete privitisation of health services, being
responsible for excluding thousands of people
from basic medical care. This cynical authoritarian
dad the vulgarity to demand from those of the 300 immigrants
recently in hunger strike who had to be hospitalised to pay
100,000euros
each,
for medical expenses.
The antisocial policies he is imposing are part
of the state and capital’s broader planning,
which forces large sectors of society to poverty
and misery.
The confrontation with the state and capitalist
dictatorship is a case of all the exploited and oppressed people.
Our collective movement  against the tyrants
is the only possible prospect for subverting their plans.
The dilemma we are faced with is to Struggle or Surrender.
Struggle for liberation from the bonds of authorit
or surrender our lives to passivity, alienation and submission.
The symbolic attack against one of those in charge
of the regime’s aggression is part of the great struggles
thousands of people and engaged in: the demonstrators
participating in mass rallies, the people of Keratea in the
roadblocks, the workers on strike. Our thought and actions
are defined and enriched by the revolts of millions of
outcasts around the world, such as the recent ones in north Africa.
These thoughts and actions gain significance and perspective
at the extent they are connected with the desires, the needs and the
determination of our class. Any action is judged according to its
target and its content, the words accompanying it. Its connection
with the existent social resistance
is what determines its effectiveness. Delirious, complacent
declarations and elitist antisocial rhetorics have nothing to
offer to the struggle for liberation. On the contrary, they
separate the means from the end, thus degrading them.
The keynote for the full- scale assault of domination is violence,
repression and social control: Anti-terrorist acts, police state,
criminalisation of social resistance, slander of every struggle
by the Media, and blunt frame- ups against people of the
struggle are forming the conditions of a totalitarian regime
, being built on the attempt to neutralise its political opponents.
Fighting against this regime, we stand in solidarity
with anarchist Aris Sirinidis who is facing fabricated charges
and whose trial is taking place these days. In solidarity with
anarchist Christos Politis who is imprisoned because of a
ridiculous scenario made by the Antiterrorist Department.
In solidarity with imprisoned anarchists Sarandos Nikitopoulos,
Vaggelis Stathopoulos,
Christoforos Kortesis whose prosecution is based
on the sole “evidence” of their personal and political relationships.
In solidarity with militants Kostas Gournas, Pola Roupa, Nikos Maziotis
who have taken the political responsibility for the participation in the
“Revolutionary Struggle”.
Let;s intensify with any means our efforts to form
a social and class form against political and financial rulers; to
form a collective vision of freedom.
HONOUR TO ANARCHIST LAMBROS FOUDAS
FOR THE DESTRUCTION OF STATE AND CAPITALISM
FOR THE SOCIAL LIBERATION
